After graduating from the University of Montana School of Law in December of 2016, Bobbi joined the Montana Office of the Public Defender in Kalispell, MT, where she quickly discovered her home among defense attorneys. While many attorneys become weary of work as a public defender, Bobbi's passion for criminal defense grew.
Bobbi read about the criminal justice system in Florida, a place that should be paradise. Compelled by the injustices she read about, along with the frigid Montana winters, Bobbi took the Florida Bar Exam and moved south to see for herself.
In Florida, Bobbi served as staff attorney for the 7th Judicial Circuit Courts where she reviewed prisoners' petitions for post conviction relief, most alleging ineffective assistance of counsel. These were all serious felony cases, including capital cases. Bobbi reviewed the trial transcripts of some of the most heinous crimes we see on documentary television. Through this work, she advised the judges that, in many instances, the defendant's constitutional rights had been violated, thus justifying a hearing and possibly a new trial.
Longing to return to the courtroom, Bobbi joined the Florida Office of the Public Defender in St. Augustine, Florida in 2021 before returning to Montana where she joined the Montana Office of the Public Defender in Bozeman in 2022. Bobbi founded Summit Legal, PLLC in 2025, where she will continue in her quest to defend the Constitution and to ensure individuals accused of crime are treated with dignity and respect.
When Bobbi's not fighting for your constitutional rights or preparing for a jury trial, she can be found hiking, bicycling, floating a river on her paddle board, or occasionally even riding a Harley.
